Daniel Oakes joined Guaranteed Rate as a Vice President of Mortgage Lending in 2020, after nearly 8 years working in the wealth management space. Prior to starting his mortgage business, Dan worked for firms such as Merrill Lynch, Fidelity and John Hancock Investments, advising the country’s top financial advisors on investment strategy. In managing his team a Guaranteed Rate, Dan combines his wealth of knowledge in financial markets with his passion for real estate. His number one goal is to help clients achieve their goals for homeownership with products that best fit their overall financial plan. This holistic approach to mortgage lending makes Dan an invaluable resource to clients whether they are first-time homebuyers, investors, or buying a vacation home for their family.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with family and friends in the New England area. He is a former college athlete, playing football and graduating from Stonehill College in Easton, MA. He enjoys skiing in Vermont in the winter and spending time at the beautiful beaches of Rhode Island in the summer. He has been involved in charitable groups such as Make-A-Wish Foundation of MA & RI and volunteered with NFL Flag Football as a youth coach in Providence, RI. Dan lives in North Kingstown, RI with his wife Brianna and their rescue dog, Georgia.
